The Society of Future Nurse Anesthetists (SFNA) is committed to supporting the aspirations of ICU nurses to transition into specialized roles through scholarships. As part of our efforts, SFNA offers both yearly and endowed scholarships to empower and financially assist aspiring Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).

Goals of the SFNA Nurse Anesthesia Scholarship Program:

• Support Aspiring CRNAs: Provide financial support to outstanding ICU nurses in their pursuit of nurse anesthesia education, helping to alleviate the financial burdens of advanced training.

• Promote Nurse Anesthesia Careers: Increase awareness of the opportunities within the nurse anesthesia field and encourage more ICU nurses to pursue this advanced career path.

• Address Workforce Needs: Contribute to filling the growing demand for skilled nurse anesthetists, focusing on supporting women and underrepresented minorities in the field.

Scholarship Funding Details:

• Minimum Amount: Each scholarship awarded by the SFNA will have a minimum value of $1,000.

• Range of Scholarships: While SFNA aims to distribute substantial amounts in scholarship funding annually, individual scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $5,000 depending on the funds available and the needs of the recipients.

• Administrative Fee: A nominal administrative fee of 10% is applied to the scholarships to support the management and distribution of these funds.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

• Sponsor Contributions: Organizations and individuals can sponsor scholarships with the option to specify the amount and establish criteria for eligible candidates, such as academic achievement, financial need, or commitment to serving underrepresented communities.

• Endowed Scholarships: Donors have the option to create endowed scholarships that provide a lasting legacy and ongoing support for future nurse anesthetists, ensuring continuous assistance for students year after year.
